Rebuilders
Rebuilders is a support network for widows and widowers in the Vancouver/ Lower Mainland, BC area.
Are you widowed? Do you sometimes feel like a “5th wheel” when you are in a social setting? Would you like to meet others who are in a similar situation?
We are a group of widows/widowers in the Vancouver/Lower Mainland who meet on a monthly basis for a social event. Since we all have experienced the loss of a spouse we have much in common and therefore can relate to each other in a way that is not always possible with those who have not experienced this type of grief.
So far our activities have included a trip to Leavenworth for the Christmas lights, bus trip to Leavenworth for live performance of The Sound of Music, live theatre, games nights, Minter Gardens and picnic, trip to LaConnor for the tulip festival, picnics, barbecues, potlucks, etc.
Upcoming Events
REBUILDERS ALASKA CRUISE
We are planning a cruise to Alaska May 16 – 23rd, 2012 from Vancouver and returning to Vancouver. We will be sailing on the Princess Island stopping in at Juneau, Skagway, and Ketchikan and sailing into Glacier Bay.
This is a nice time of the year to go north because of the long days of daylight. A good number have already registered and we would love to have you join us as well.

10th Anniversary Book- There are still a few copies of the book printed for the 10th anniversary of Rebuilders, at $15.00 per copy plus $2.00 postage if you want it mailed. It is a good way to get to know more about some of you who have been attending Rebuilders as well as those who have been attending in the past. Let us know if you wish us to reserve a copy for you.
