Vernon: Support groups are held once a month, on the third Thursday, from noon til 1:30pm (following the coffee drop-in) at People Place, Rm #004, 3402-27 Ave..Vernon, BC . Hellmut Noelle of the Family Resource Centre is leading the group with New Hope volunteer hostesses. Participants are asked to bring a bag lunch.Note , there is no support group for December.
Regular Drop in Coffee Time: each Thursday morning, 9:30 -11:30 am, at People Place in Vernon, Rm #003. Resource Library is also available. NOTE: People Place is closed between Dec.24 and Jan 3. There will be no coffee time Dec 29.
Kelowna: Regular support group meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 7 pm.at First Baptist Church, 1309 Bernard Avenue, Kelowna. Contact: Lorna : lorna@bohn.ca or call 250-860-6376 . NB. note new location.

Mesozoic Mutt Masquerade- Part of the Vernon Winter Carnival. The volunteers of our Vernon group are organizing this fun event Saturday, Feb 2, 2013, 1:30 pm, to raise our community profile and provide a fun time for our members and the people of Vernon. see the Winter Carnival brochure , page 22 at http://www.vernonwintercarnival.com/2013-brochure-top . we'll have hot chocolate after the parade and enjoy the dogs and owners in dinasaur/prehistoric costumes. this will be held at the People Place parking lot. Cost to enter is $2.00. we are looking for donations of pet-related items for prizes.
